Stories

Let us tell a couple of stories about what happened to us and our diver friends while we were developing, testing our diving torch and travelled to wonderful places.

Our Story & Mission

These stories are connected to the creation of our product. Unfortunately, our home country is not close to any sea so we have to travel quite a lot if we would like to get insight into the amazing view of seas and oceans. There are hundreds of thousands of magical photos published in various magazines and TV channels like National Geography, Discovery Channel and so on.

However one should be really lucky to experience what is shown in those pictures and to be able to see the true beauty of mother nature. During the last couple of years, we had quite a lot of negative experiences while developing our product. We produced such a prototype that has never been tested on the field because real-life impressions showed us it was not the right product for our purpose. At the time we were testing a professional-looking dive light with many functions which cost 1.200EUR. The whole thing was meant to show how superior that technology was.

The test ended up with a broken micro switch that obviously was a huge disappointment. Ont the first days on our dive safari the light got back into its box and placed into our luggage. All those money for nothing…

What makes our lights special?

We were diving in the crystal clear water at a bay in Croatia. The day before we had this idea to check the underwater cave located in that bay. Of course, everyone should charge their dive light to full and bring backup lights as well. That afternoon the place we stayed had lots of disassembled lights and dozens of batteries connected to chargers everywhere. Unfortunately, most of the lights should be disassembled in order to charge the battery. This procedure of charging the batteries is not only annoying but has its own problems in terms of unforeseen faults.

We had wonderful weather that day and the sea was pretty calm. So we started diving and got prepared to swim into the cave. Shortly after getting under the water, two divers had their lights got faulty. The lights suddenly stopped working. On 20 meters deep down they did not turn back. Luckily they had backups.

Back on the boat, we started talking about these issues and it turned out that one of the lights that were 1 year old and cost 600 EUR got faulty because there was a piece of hair stuck to the O ring which resulted in the water started to leak inside. Both the battery and the electronics got wasted. Only the body remained reusable.

Having checked the manufacturer’s website for spare parts we quickly realized that it would not be worth it to replace the damaged parts and restore the light because of the high price of the parts. The other light had a damaged thread due to the high number of removing the cover. After a time it was not possible to lock and insulate properly anymore.

Of course, we had a lot of fun with our product not only while we were testing it during our dives but also during the development phase. Sure we made mistakes from time to time in each phase. But we learned the lesson and fixed those to create a professional product that fulfils the expectations of amateur and experienced divers as well.

We are very confident that our dive light is a great product with easy and comfortable usage not to mention the superior lightning power.

THIS IS CONFIRMED BY A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO TESTED OUR PRODUCT.

As we were travelling to different places we met many divers from all around the globe who were interested in testing out products. We happily provided it every time – of course for some feedback and opinion in exchange. In the end, all this feedback helped us to improve and make it to its final version. And now a true story with a very positive ending that became our favourite of all in the last 5 years.

On another diving safari on the Red Sea a foreigner man that I have never met before just stepped next to me and asked if we could have some words. He heard others on the boat talking about a dive light that’s currently going through the process of patent pending. I said yes this is my product. Also asked him if he wanted to know anything about it. He wondered if he could try that during his next diving and for what price would I lend it. My answer was obviously yes with 2 conditions. First was him signing a privacy statement in which he promised he would keep all the informations on the product I told him. The second one I would let him know about after the diving.

He said yes and also told me that he was not interested in technical details. Only wanted to see how the light was working underwater. He got it by the next night dive and when we were back to the boat I received very honest praise from him. He was jumping like a kid thanks to the fact that he could make his best ever underwater photo with our light. I felt so proud. And then I told him about the second condition. I asked him to try it again the next morning in daylight. That man was pretty surprised but he accepted this condition as well. The next day we were 26-28 metres under the water and he could not stop expressing who good the product was doing and how much he liked that.

The next day we were 26-28 metres under the water and he could not stop expressing who good the product was doing and how much he liked that. On the boat, without even taking off our equipment he sat told me to sit down and talk a little bit. Now I was really surprised and wondered what he wanted to tell me.

„Look I have no idea who you are and how did you manage to create such professional staff, how much time and money you invested. But there is something I need to tell you. I’m a pretty lucky guy with hundreds of diving in different seas and oceans so far in my life but I have never seen the underwater world this wonderful ever before until now thanks to your dive light. It’s incredible how amazing and colourful the sea wildlife is. You should be really proud of yourself and this product and I wish you show this to as many divers as you can so they can experience the same what I just did.”
